Shata Shuzo
シャタシュゾウ
Shata Shuzo was founded in 1823, during the late Edo period, and has continuously brewed sake in the Kaga Plain, blessed with views of the sacred Mt. Hakusan. Its flagship brand, "Tengumai," is deeply cherished in Hakusan, Ishikawa, and has gained recognition across Japan and worldwide. The brewery is dedicated to traditional handcrafting techniques, notably preserving the time-honored Yamahai brewing method, which contributes to its distinctive amber-colored sake. Shata Shuzo's philosophy centers on crafting delicious sake that enhances dining experiences. The brewery strives to bring pride and joy to the local community through its brewing practices, while also actively promoting the essence of Japanese culture, sake, to a global audience. They aim to create sake that enriches the hearts of drinkers and fosters connections between people.
