Takafumi Horie Joins Daishinshu Shuzo's 10th Anniversary Rice Planting Event for 'Soteigai Soteinai' Sake in Nagano

On May 24, 2026, a grand rice planting event for the Junmai Daiginjo sake "Soteigai Soteinai" was held at the "Taiyo to Daichi" rice fields in Yaheibara, Tomi City, Nagano Prefecture. This marked the 10th anniversary of the rice planting for this particular sake, produced by entrepreneur Takafumi Horie. A large contingent, including members from Daishinshu Shuzo, HIU members, and students from Zero High and Zero Elementary, participated in this large-scale event.

A Unique Rice Planting Experience with Music

This year's event featured DJs Fumiya and Horie himself, who played loud music right next to the rice fields. Participants, covered in mud, planted rice seedlings with smiles on their faces, moving to the rhythm of the music.
